Subject: Native American Heritage Celebration

Message: In honor of Native American History month, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will host a celebration of Native American culture on November 16, 2012 from 6 -8:30 p.m. in the Occupational Technical Building, room 303 on the college’s main campus. This event is free and open to the public. The Native American Heritage Celebration is made possible after a student with the interest wrote a grant proposal which became funded and will be a colorful event which is intended to bring cultures closer together and to honor Native American heritage. Among the special guests are the Red Crow Intertribal Council, Yellowknife Navajo Flutes, and the Ohio Veterans Warrior Society. Guests can expect to hear about Native culture, history, art, and music. There will be a live flute and drum performance, storytelling, and many Native American artifacts.
