Subject: Veterans Tribute

Message: What was once a dream will now become a reality when the Hardin County Veterans Tribute opens this Veterans Day November 11. The ceremony begins at 2pm rain or shine. The tribute is located in the Elizabethtown Nature Park on Ring Road just north of Freeman Lake Park. Groundbreaking for the park took place in July of 2010. The tribute honors each of the five military branches with bronze statues of soldiers designed by Hardin County native Rich Griendling. The tribute also honors civil servant workers and our country's POW's and MIA's. The tribute incorporates bricks and pavers that can be purchased and engraved to honor a loved one. For more information about the tribute and the dedication ceremonies visit www.vettribute.org or call 270-319-1051.
