Subject: Votes For Women "90" Years

Message: Please register for the Votes for Women Celebration—90 Years…and Counting! We hope that you will join with women from all over the Commonwealth of Kentucky to pay tribute to the suffragettes, demonstrate the power of the women’s vote, and have some fun! Please arrive in plenty of time to pick up your commemorative purple sash and park in any of the white spaces around the Capitol and the Annex. The celebration begins at 10:30 am, August 26, 2010, with a short press conference in the State Capitol Rotunda. The women’s rally begins at 11:00 am in the Rotunda, and at noon, there will be an informal luncheon and brief program at the nearby Kentucky History Center. You will be able to travel home before the rush hour traffic! For this to be a worthy and effective tribute we must be present in great numbers! Please encourage friends to attend. Ask your organization to become a financial sponsor. Decorate your car with purple, white and gold suffrage streamers and bring several women with you.
